Our Mission and Vision
H2MI is leading the development of a publicly-available hydrogen mobility network across the Pacific Northwest. This network will connect to similar infrastructure planned for California, British Columbia, and Texas, allowing for an integrated West Coast hydrogen ecosystem and broad I-5 and I-10 hydrogen corridor. To realize this vision, The Consortium for Hydrogen and Renewably Generated E-fuels (CHARGE), in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub (PNWH2), is convening a Hydrogen Mobility Working Group comprised of key stakeholders from across the hydrogen value chain who share the goal of developing a hydrogen-powered transportation network in the United States.
Goals & Objectives

To support the establishment of a hydrogen mobility network in the PNW, including a robust value chain and optimal distribution of hydrogen refueling and related infrastructure.

To facilitate engagement and coordination between key players along the value chain. This process will involve forming industry clusters to facilitate multi-lateral communications based on shared interests across companies that co-occupy the ecosystem.

To conduct studies and develop models for the benefit of working group participants to provide members with critical insights and identify gaps to be addressed across the value chain.
The PNWH2 Hub Connection

H2MI is working in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub (PNWH2). Our efforts to develop innovative hydrogen mobility infrastructure directly support the PNWH2 Hub’s success, and shore up the overarching vision of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) Program.
“[The Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs Program aims to] create a national network of hydrogen producers, consumers, and connective infrastructure while supporting the production, storage, delivery, and end-use of hydrogen. The H2Hubs aim to accelerate the commercial-scale deployment of clean hydrogen, helping to generate clean, dispatchable power, create a new form of energy storage, and decarbonize heavy industry and transportation.”
Through this work, H2MI is improving transit connectivity across the PNW and between H2 Hubs nationwide.
